Yes. Client details, project name, and line items from the accepted proposal carry over to the invoice automatically. You can edit anything before sending, but you're not starting from scratch.

Can I set up a deposit and a final payment?

Yes. FirstSlate supports payment schedules — you can split any invoice into multiple milestones, each with its own amount, due date, and net terms. Clients can pay each milestone online as it comes due, or you can mark them paid independently.

How does online payment work?

If you connect your Stripe account in settings, a payment button appears on your client's invoice page. They pay by card or ACH bank transfer directly. Funds go to your Stripe account. FirstSlate doesn't hold or touch the money.

Can I send invoices without using the proposal feature?

Yes. You can create an invoice manually from any project — you don't have to use the proposal workflow first. Though once you try the one-click generation from an accepted proposal, it's hard to go back.
